I have always been fascinated by the power of language. Combine that with the consequences of imperialism and it’s real life history of subjugating, if not outright prohibiting, native languages across the world and you get this short epistolary style fantasy that begs the question: What happens when one language is literally magic? I am currently working on making this project a full-fledged novel.
