Everyone has a story…

Mine began in Santa Maria, California, where I found my passion for writing, storytelling, and the power of language. This passion eventually lead me to study English at San Francisco State University (SFSU) where I received a bachelor’s in Creative Writing and minor in Comparative World Literature. At SFSU, I was honored to serve as a fiction editor for the nation’s oldest student operated literary journal, Transfer Magazine, which I later led as editor-in-chief. During this time I also supported literary publication, Zyzzyva Magazine, as an editorial intern. My time at Zyzzyva helped me expand my narrative and editorial abilities which I utilized during my next internship at the world’s largest English language publisher of Japanese manga, VIZ Media. As a lifelong fan of all things geek—especially, manga, anime, and video games—VIZ Media enabled me to not only work on some of my all-time favorite stories but prepare for my next adventure at digital comics publisher and platform for all creators to create: Tapas Entertainment.

As an editor, localization manager, and later senior production manager, I endeavored to help others create comics, novels, and more which was only possible thanks to my incredible team and the sheer creative power of many artists, writers, editors and beyond. Here I found a new passion alongside writing and storytelling: helping people create the best stories possible. Short stories, comics, novels, games, no matter where or what form stories take—I am always pursuing better storytelling.

How can I help your story?
